Special services will be announced through the year. We have had special services such as Good Friday Community Services, Evening Services, Ecumenical Service, Blue Christmas, etc. These will be announced as they are planned. We also worship at “The Kirk” three times yearly.  This beautiful country church is located in Northampton.
Please note that there are three handicap parking places on Green Street and you must have a provincial Permit to park in these areas. Thank you for your cooperation.  At the back of the church, on Maple Street, additional handicapped parking is also available.

We at Saint James United Church ask you to consider your neighbour and to avoid wearing colognes, perfumes or scented products to church.

Saint James United church is currently abiding by the COVID 19 policies of the United Church, the Provincial and the Federal Government for music in the church. We are very proud to have an active choir, all-ages handbell choir, and the Sunshine singers (youth choir). The senior choir normally rehearses every Wednesday at 7:15pm (Sept.-June) and presents its annual Christmas Cantata the third Sunday in Advent. New singers are always welcome. The choir also provides music for services at Carleton Manor. Both the handbells and Sunshine singers meet periodically after church to prepare special music. The Sunshine Singers are ages 3-10 and the handbell choir welcomes anyone regardless of age or experience. Our church believes that music is an important part of worship and strongly supports the music programs.

If you would like to be involved with music-making at Saint James, we’d love to hear from you. We also welcome instrumentalists or vocalists who like to perform occasionally but can’t commit to a weekly rehearsal. Please call Mary Wheelan at the church office, if you have any questions.
